Format for printing
Many multimedia-heavy websites, such as news sites, offer you the option to format a document for printing. Look for a "Print" link, button, or icon on the webpage, usually at the top or bottom of an article. This is preferable to using the browser's print option because the embedded link will typically remove website navigation, videos, and ads that might add several pages to your printout. (On some sites, you will not get the full article text unless you use this print method.)

You may want to print documents that are shared as PDF files. Many articles in the library databases are only available as PDFs. Unlike websites, you don't have to worry about formatting to print: what you see on the screen is what you'll see on paper. However, you must use the print option in Adobe (the program that opens PDFs), not the print option from web browser menu.
