Borrowing Materials

What type of Reserve Material does St. Francis College Library have?

There are two types of Reserve Material at SFC Library:

Professors’ Reserve -- books, videos, and other printed material kept in the library by a professor for his or her class.

Textbook Reserve -- textbooks purchased by the library or Student Government Association.

Where are the Reserve Materials located?

Both Professors’ Reserve and Textbook Reserve are located at the Circulation Desk, at the entrance to St. Francis College Library. You must have a valid St. Francis College I.D. to borrow material. All items borrowed at the Circulation Desk must be returned to the Circulation Desk.

How long may I check out a given item?

Reserve Textbooks and other Reserve material circulate for two hours and may be renewed for an additional loan period if no one placed a hold on a specific book or video/DVD.

What are the charges for an overdue item?

The fine for all Reserve items is $1 (One Dollar) per hour or any part thereof. The maximum fine for Reserve materials is $50 (Fifty Dollars).

Students will be blocked from borrowing Library materials if they have $50 or more in outstanding fines.
