DVDs and VHS cassettes are located in the Media Room. Find the title(s) you want to check out, write down the
call number and ask the Reference Librarian on duty or a Circulation Clerk to get it for you.

The textbooks are located behind the Circulation Desk. This tutorial will show you how to search for textbooks in the library catalog.
There are no restrooms inside the Library. The closest Ladies' Room is on the 2nd Floor, by the elevators. The closest Men's Room is either on the 3rd Floor or on the 1st Floor.

Beyond the arches in the Library stacks (Cellar Level). Looks for signs that say: Quiet Area -- Students at Work.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Currently-enrolled students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and ALB members may use the SFC Library.
Stop by the Circulation Desk with your current St. Francis College I.D. We will scan your barcode and enter your information into our system. That's it. You now have a library card. Present it to a Circulation Clerk whenever you need to check out print books or audiovisual material.
You need your campus-wide username and password to access the computers on campus. Your campus-wide username and password are what you use to access Canvas, or if you work at the College, what you use to access Microsoft Outlook.
- Unable to log in?
Can you access Canvas using your username and password? If you can but get an error message logging in to a computer on campus, your password contains symbols other than alphanumeric characters. You need to change your password. Contact Help Desk: email@example.com, 718-489-5444, Room 4211.
- What if I forgot my password?
Ask the Reference Librarian on duty to give you a temporary username and password.
- The library has over 105,000 print books,
- more than 70,000 ebooks,
- 2,500 DVDs and VHS tapes,
- and 40 Netbooks(a small laptop computer designed primarily for accessing Internet-based applications).

Interlibrary Loan is a free service provided to St. Francis College students, faculty, staff, and administrators. If the journal or book you need is not owned by St. Francis College Library, you may request that it be obtained for your use from another Library. If the only library that has the item available charges a fee, the fee will be passed on to you, but the SFC Library will check with you before we agree to any fees.

Printing from the computers in the library is free of charge. Each computer lab is equipped with several printers. Additionally, there's a printer for the research computers near the Reference Desk.
- Can I print from the netbook I borrow from the Library?
Yes, you can. There's a printer designated for wireless netbook printing, located by the Reference Desk.
- Can I print from my personal laptop?
No. This option is not available yet.
Every day, people hit the print button without really considering why. Often this spontaneous compulsion to print is unnecessary. We don't want to stop you from printing. But please remember that wasting paper, ink and toner doesn't make economic or environmental sense.

There are two photocopiers in the library. One is located on the 2nd Floor behind the staircase, the other is on the Cellar Level behind the staircase. Photocopying costs 10 cents per page.
There are two water fountains in the library, located by the entrance to the elevator on the Cellar Level.

Find a Call Number by searching Title, Author, or Subject.
