Reserve Textbooks

  • What type of Textbooks does St. Francis College Library have?

    There are two types:

Professors’ Reserve -- books, videos, and other printed material kept in the library by a professor for his or her class.

Textbooks Reserve-- textbooks purchased by the Student Government Association or the SFC Library
  • Where are the Textbooks located?

At the Circulation Desk, on the 2nd Floor by the library entrance. You must have a valid St. Francis College I.D. to borrow material. All items borrowed at the Circulation Desk must be returned to the Circulation Desk.

  • How long may I check out a given item?

Textbooks can be checked out for two hours and may be renewed for an additional loan period if no one is waiting to use it.

  • What are the charges for an overdue item?

$1 / hour (or any part thereof).  The maximum fine for Reserve materials is $100 (One Hundred Dollars). Students will be blocked from borrowing Library materials if they have $50 or more in outstanding fines.

Watch this video tutorial on how to find textbooks on Reserve. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
