A compilation of resources about the COVID19/Coronavirus pandemic

COVID & The Environment

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the environment in a number of ways.

Positive effects include:

  • Decreased concentrations of NO2 and PM 2.5
  • Clean beaches
  • Reduction of environmental noise level

Negative effects include:

  • Increased waste
  • Reduction in waste recycling1

Although there have been some positive effects, they are not large enough to have long lasting effects. The fight for economical sustainability is still very much needed, here are some resources for the current environmental initiatives in the time of COVID-19.
