Off campus users

The St. Francis College library provides access to resources and services for all students enrolled in online or distance learning courses and the faculty who teach them. This includes access to electronic resources, research databases, streaming video databases, interlibrary loan, reference services and subject research guides.

This page offers a summary of the resources available and how to access them.

Reference Services

Reference

Virtual reference services are available to all off-campus users of the library. Librarians can be consulted for research assistance via telephone, e-mail, text, and online chat. Please visit our Ask A Librarian web page for more information on these services.

Electronic Resources

Off-campus library users have 24-hour access to all of the libraries electronic resources. You will need your SFC log in information in order to access them off-campus.

You can find electronic resources using our all-in-one search on the library homepage. Or you can skip straight to our ebook catalog and databases to search for just electronic resources.

Articles

The library has a wide range of online databases available for all library users. These databases cover a range of content including scholarly journals and articles, newspapers, encyclopedias, and streaming video and audio services.

Interlibrary Loan

Can't find what you're looking for using the library's resources? Don't give up!

ILL

For articles you can submit an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request. This is a free service we offer to provide access the article from another library on your behalf. The article will then be emailed directly to you.


Looking for books? Use WorldCat's Library Finder to locate libraries close to where you are. Many public libraries also offer Interlibrary Loan services for patrons.
