Stacks

To find books or any materials that are available at the library, you must do a search on the library's website. Here is a guide with information on how to find books in the library, Introduction to Library Research.

Once you find the book that you are looking for, take note of the call number. It is the alphanumerical code that is next to the location of the book. History books are found in the E-F section on the shelf.

If needed, here is a guide to borrowing materials.

How to Search for Books

  • Start search on the homepage of the library's website.
  • Select the "Books & Media" tab above the search bar

  • Keep in mind that a search term like “American history” is too broad. Your results would include every single book that mentions American history. It would be beneficial to search for a more specific topic to limit the search results.

  • On the right column of the search page, there is an option to limit the results to books or ebooks. It can also be limited based on the topic.
