What are Open Education Resources?

Open Education Resources (OER) are any materials for teaching, learning or research that are openly licensed and freely accessible. The open nature of these materials means that anyone can use, copy, adapt and re-share them. OERs can cover a range of digital media including: open courses, textbooks, lesson plans, assignments, streaming videos, and primary source materials.
