What is Neonatal & Pediatric Imaging?

Neonatal & Pediatric radiology is a subspecialty of general radiology that is specifically for infants, children, and adolescents. Pediatric imaging techniques are used to diagnose medical and surgical problems, especially for premature or infant patients who cannot verbalize pain or symptoms.

Pediatric imaging techniques include

  • X-ray, ultrasound
  • Computed tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Nuclear medicine
